Although Phra Chen Duriyang has never been in Europe, his talents and his devotion to the study of European music make him one of the outstanding masters in the East. It is by his arduous labours that the members of the Royal Orchestra have arrived at such an advanced stage of training. He also earnestly encourages the study of European music among the young Siamese in general.
The programme of the musical performance conducted by Phra Chen Duriyang himself during the dinner of this evening party is as follows:
1. Grand March “Pomp and Circumstances” (Elgar)
2. Overture “Rosamunde” (Schubert)
3. Selection “Carmen” (Bizet)
4. Selection “The Flying Dutchman” (Wagner)
5. Selection “Rigoletto” (Verdi)
6. Fantasia on Russian Melodies “The Glory of Russia” (Krein)

เมื่อวงดนตรีฝรั่งหลวงได้ย้ายจากพระราชสำนักรัชกาลที่ ๗ มาสู่กรมศิลปากรแล้ว ได้มีการแสดงละครเรื่อง “อุเทน” กับการแสดงคอนเสอร์ตที่โรงโขนหลวง สวนมิสกวัน เนื่องในงานฉลองรัฐธรรมนูญเมื่อวันที่ ๒๗ มิถุนายน ๒๔๗๙ ในงานนี้ กรมศิลปากรได้เชิญคณะทูตานุทูตและชาวต่างประเทศมาชมการแสดงอย่างพร้อมพรักกัน.
