Bangkok is unique in this part of the world in having at its disposal an efficient and well trained orchestra, capable of giving us good music well played. Phra Chen has trained his players up to good standard and the general level of the fare provided is high.
There was good attendance at the Symphony Concert given by the Royal Orchestra under the baton of Phra Chen at the Theatre Royal last night, the first of this season’s series. The programme was a varied but extremely good one and the orchestra was at its best though in the period that has intervened since the last concert was given there have been various changes in its personnel; even item being warmly applauded.
The final concert of the series by the Royal Orchestra under the baton of Phra Chen Duriyanga was given at the Sahadhya Hall of the Grand Palace last evening, to a disappointed meagre audience. This was the more to be deplored since the programme given,
